Bow model – Varjag

Historical bows

Inspired by the arches of the Penobscott American Indians who lived along the river of the same name in the state of Maine in the 17th century. However, the history of this bow  dates back to 1500. This kind of bow was used successfully and skillfully in the fight against the Vikings. This design was made in order to have greater range and precision than the European muskets they fought against.
This amazing bow was one of the most versatile bows ever made and one of the first complex designs.
It looks like a Viking hat, hence the name, the Varangians were the Imperial Byzantine Guard composed of Vikings.
The name of the model was given by my friend, the great artist and archery enthusiast Robert Kalajdži.

MATERIAL:
It is made of fiberglass and wood laminate with stable core technology.
Its construction and characteristic shape give it top features.
The rear auxiliary bow gives extra speed and power to the main bow and gives
extremely high penetration and length of arrow flight.

VARIANTS:
It is made in lengths
64 “- maximum tension length is 32”
66 “- maximum tension length is 34”
Strength 45-150 pounds

The bows are additionally reinforced with string on the limbs in the color you want and the handle is made of fiberglass linen.
The standard reinforcement of the handle is rounded, with or without leather.
The name Varangian is from the Greek word which was the name for the Vikings who ruled Kievan Russia and formed the Byzantine Imperial Guard.
Feel powerful – royal with the Varangians.

The MR Bows are a reflection of the man himself: steady, tough, dependable, and artistic. It's been a privilege working with him.

after i searched for heavier bows, i finally found misko and contacted him. after i told him what i was looking for, he answered, "no problem, we can arrange everything!" so my first bow arrived and i was happy to get my first bow with over 75lbs! as i progressed, misko and his formidable service and deliverytime helped me to progress with drawweigths and technique. you wil never find another bowyer with so much modells and sub-modells which works so reliable and and smooth.

I currently own two MR Bows and am so thoroughly impressed and happy with them, that I have ordered a third. Not only are the Bows wonderfully made, but the customer service is spot on beyond compare. I have a long draw length and finding a well made, heavy poundage bow that can withstand a 34 inch (from the belly) draw is rare. To find one made by such a great artist, whose love of the bow comes through in his product is even more rare. If you are considering an MR Bow, you can be assured that your money will be very well spent.
